It Started in a Basement
One pizza-loving family, more than five decades of local history, and a name Northeast Ohio still knows.
Before There Was a Restaurant
Bob Miller started by making pizzas for friends and family. They kept telling him he ought to sell them.
Eventually, he listened.
What followed wasn’t a carefully mapped-out restaurant empire. It was one good idea that kept finding its next
chapter.

It Started in a Basement
Bob Starts Baking
Bob turns his basement into a small pizzeria and begins serving the pizzas friends and neighbors had already been asking for.
Bob’s Gets a Storefront
After nearly a decade downstairs, Bob buys a former donut shop at the corner of Routes 224 and 44 and gives Bob’s Pizza a permanent home.
The Menu Gets Bigger
Bob’s grows beyond the pizza counter into a full restaurant, adding breakfast, sandwiches and more choices for the people already filling the tables.
The Drive-Thru Arrives
Bob introduces a beer and wine drive-thru to the area. Before long, customers are using it to pick up Bob’s food too.
Brad Takes the Lead
Bob’s son Brad buys the business from his father and takes responsibility for carrying the family name into its next generation.
Bob’s Comes to Greentown
The family opens its second location in Greentown, bringing Bob’s Pizza to another Northeast Ohio community.
Still Bob’s
The menu has grown and the business now has two locations, but the name on the sign still traces back to Bob, his basement and the pizzas that started everything.
